Since manufacturers of can type motors recommend a pure DC power source, the "VOLTROLLER" is now available in three 12 volt models- 1.5, 3, and 5 amp to assure smooth, quiet and cool operation - especially at low speeds - The units have NO pulse, NO momentum and NO brake. Control is easily effected with a rotational knob for speed and a slide switch for direction.

Don Fiehmann has significantly improved the manufacturers circuit which was suggested for model railroading use by Barney Daehler in a 1982 NMRA bulletin article. Don W. Hansen's suggestions have improved its overall quality, dependability and safety. Experts like these concur that a pure DC power source is excellent for can motor equipped engines.
